A FOUR day cruise of the Greek islands and Turkey departing from Piraeus every Monday afternoon.
Piraeus is the port for Athens, where you can step from the shadow of the Acropolis into the world of the modern day Olympics. Sip a coffee with ouzo and join the Greeks in a toast to a new "golden age".
Mykonos is the most sophisticated of the Greek Islands. Near the colorful town of winding streets, charming whitewashed houses and posh boutiques, you'll find perfect beaches to visit. For archaeology lovers, the sacred site of Delos is nearby.
Mythology says Apollo blessed this sunny island. True to the legend, Rhodos has magnificent scenery and umbrella-lined beaches. In the medieval Old Town see the Grand Master's Palace, famed for its superb mosaic floors.
Renowned for its spectacular sunsets, Santorini is dominated by a volcanic crater. Visit the well-preserved Minoan village of Akrotiri, believed to be part of Atlantis, the legendary lost city, or travel to the charming village of nearby Oia.
Visit the cave where St. John wrote the Book of Revelations and the nearby monastery with its priceless manuscripts and jewelled robes. Or take an insider's tour of Patmos including the 300-year-old House of Simandris.
Iraklion, the capital town of Crete and its principal commercial port is just three miles away from the fantastic ruins of the Palace of Knossos. Discovered in 1899 by Sir Arthur Evans and partialy reconstructed, the elaborate palace is believed to be the mythical Labyrinth of King Minos and the seat of ancient Minoan Culture. The Archaeological Museum of Iraklion displays many of the treasures found during the excavations.
Witness Ephesus-one of the greatest cities of antiquity and one of the best restored on an optional tour from Kusadasi. Walk along the marble paving, you can almost hear the steps of marching Roman region or the ardent preaching of St. Paul addressing the Ephesians.

A Myconian Windmill
|
Mykonos is one of the most cosmopolitan islands of the Cyclades Its name derives from the name of the hero Myconos who was descended from Apollo. According to the ancient Greek Mythology, Hercules killed the last giant by throwing the island on top of him.

| MINOS THRONE |
 Iraklion
|
| A frequent expression encountered by the reader of Minoan Crete is that of the Minoan Palace. The term was first used by the British Archaeologist Sir Arthur Evans who excavated the site of Knossos in the beginning of the century, and is maintained ever since. The truth is that we know nothing about the form of government of Minoan Crete. There may have been a priest-king or priestess-queen or a board of priests. In the absence of written records, it is impossible to tell anything with certainty. Yet we are not helpless because archaeology can tell us something about the elusive Minoan society.
