Colonial Spring
Seventeen day cruise aboard the SEABOURN SUN starting on April 19, 2001 from Fort Lauderdale in Florida.
Cruise the Atlantic Ocean, Savannah in Georgia, Charleston in South Carolina, Hamilton in Bermuda, New York, Newport in rhode Island, Halifax and Sydney in Nova Scotia, Charlottetown in Prince Edward Island, cruise St. Lawrence River and return to the port of Quebec City.
Smaller and less busy than nearby Miami, Fort Lauderdale offers easy access to hotels, motorways and airports.
Savannah is widely renowned for its historical features - a reputation earned in large part because of the city's active role in American history and the beautiful preservation of its centuries-old buildings, parks, and other properties.
Dock right in the heart of historic Charleston. You may want to tour its colonial houses and gardens by horse-drawn carriage. Or venture out to one of the grand ante-bellum plantations.
Bermuda's pink sands and azure seas never fail to delight the sences. Stroll the gingerbread streets of Bermuda's capital. Or hop in a buggy for a ride beneath palms and allspice trees.
Among the most memorable experiences of travel is sailing in or out of New York Harbour, where Lady Liberty welcomes you with her upraised torch.
Many travelers are familiar with the opulent summer "cottages" built by the giants of the industrial revolution. But not so many know that Newport also contains one of America's largest concentrations of colonial-period homes.
The noon gun still sounds from the hillside Citadel, reminding Halifax of its British history. Spend an afternoon strolling and browsing in the shops in the Historic Properties. Or venture out to Peggy's Cove for fresh lobster and scenic seascapes.
Your ship will dock at the foot of Quebec's steep cliff, beneath the Dufferin Terrace. Explore the Place Royal, the most historic part of town, now a chic shopping district. Or ascend to the walled city above to view the Place des Armes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
This cruise is performed by SEABOURN CRUISES on board SEABOURN SUN running on the following dates during year 2001.
