Ten day cruise aboard the SEABOURN SUN starting on December 11, 2001 from Fort Lauderdale in Florida.
Cruise the Atlantic Ocean and the Great Bahama Bank, Philipsburg in St. Maarten, Portsmouth in Dominica, Charlestown in Nevis, Tortola in British Virgin Islands, San Juan in Puerto Rico, returning in Fort Lauderdale.
Smaller and less busy than nearby Miami, Fort Lauderdale offers easy access to hotels, motorways and airports, which helps make getting to the ship more convenient.
Half Dutch and half French, this island is a sun-worshipper's dream. Browse all morning in Philipsburg's gingerbread shops. Then laze in the lap of luxury at one of the island's beach resorts.
In Portsmouth on Dominica, towering mountains, cascading waterfalls and freshwater lakes nestle in an unspoiled rain forest. Hike along one of the island's nature trails for a glimpse of rare birds and tropical flora.
From the sea, Nevis appears to be a perfect dark green cone, usually crowned with white clouds. At the foot of Mount Nevis, you will find beaches with calm waters for snorkeling and a lush rain forest trail for hiking.
Ivory sands, aquamarine seas and a gracious welcome await you on Tortola. Road Town, the capital, will put you at ease with its genteel atmosphere.
From the busy harbour it is just a short walk to the historic streets of Old San Juan, where Old World charm still exudes its magic. Outside the city visit the only rainforest on U.S. soil.
