The Lodge at Chichen Itza sits on 100 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens in the heart of the archaeological park, with its own entrance to the Maya temples. Individual, dual and three-unit villas are nested among trees and flowers of the beautifully landscaped hotel.
One of the first hotels built at Chichen Itza, and one of the world's first within an archaeological site, The Lodge at Chichen Itza is as much a landmark as El Castillo, the towering pyramid of Equinox fame.
Reminiscent of the hacienda nobility of a century ago, the property's genteel hospitality and old-fashioned charm is a legacy enhanced by the addition of every amenity a guest could want Hand-carved mahogany woodwork and delicate stained glass compete for attention with the exotic birds and butterflies that are perennial resident guests of the gardens.
The Villas all have large shaded terraces and verandas, a perfect place for relaxing after a day among the Mayan temples. Besides, clustered around secluded swimming pools, the 39 bungalows seem an extension of the gardens in which they are located.
Built in traditional Mayan style with wood, stone and thatch roofs equipped with all the amenities of the main house, they were specially created for guests wishing to commune with nature.
