The first impression of the visitor upon arrival at the Hacienda Uayamon Hotel in Uayamon is of admiration for a large and old silk cotton tree more than 100 years old, the sacred tree of the Maya, and the beautiful colonial buildings of the old seat of the hacienda, and the great chimney, which reminds us of the green gold era in the region. You will be staying in what was formerly an old house for the workers of the hacienda.
Today the room is large and equipped with all the comforts, (what was formerly a house is now one room). If you would like to experience sleeping in a hammock, you will find one in your room. The bathroom has a vestibule with two washbasins with a large mirror providing intimacy to a tub, built in the style of the Mayan haltun, which is framed by a large window so as to be in contact with nature.
Outside your room you can relax comfortably on a large lounging bench on a oriental style terrace shaded from the sun where you can read, take a siesta or simply close your eyes and let nature sink in, see the greenery around you and smell the aroma of exotic plants, listen to the birds or just listen to the wind rustling in the leaves.
The cosy and elegant library in the Hacienda Uayamon Hotel in Uayamon offers books extolling the glorious Pre-Hispanic past of the Maya, and the colonial wealth of the haciendas; the traditions still alive, and the amazing fauna and flora of the region, as well as on other subjects.

Water ponds, groups of flowers and exotic plants or capricious trees border the trails to the Main House and the rooms. Visit the old machinery house and discover the old walls of the chapel or of the abandoned women's jail providing a touch of nostalgia. You can also visit the old or the new stables; you may chance upon a mare and her newborn filly, or the horses galloping freely on the grass.
