This is the most central hotel in town, located close to the old town. It is 1.5km from the port, 2km from the railway station and 5km from the International airport.
The Viru Hotel in Tallinn was built by a Finnish contractor in 1972 and entirely renovated during1992-1999.
The hotel consists of 519 guest rooms which are cosy with hardwood floors and decorated in pastel colours. All the rooms have modern amenities and there are rooms available for non smokers and guests who have allergies.
The hotel has an a la carte restaurant Merineitsi with European cuisine and a Mexican style restaurant Amarillo. The townÂ’s favourite nightclub with live music every night is the Cafe Amigo and is a great place to shake off the serious workaday world. There are also 2 other bars in the hotel, the Marco Polo, where guests can relax with friends in an ambient atmosphere and the bar Bogart which is primarily a dance bar with karaoke nights.
The new multifunctional conference hall at the hotel can accommodate up to 900 people in the most open configuration. The largest of the halls provide enough space for activities while accommodating as many as 500 people. Many of the conference rooms can also be divided into smaller sections by means of movable soundproof walls, enabling versatility for smaller work groups.
The conference rooms provide a full range of user friendly technical solutions. The state-of-the-art audio-visual and technical aids available enable the holding of the most pretentious scientific conferences, let alone entertainment and shows.
Viru Beauty centre, in downtown Tallinn, is a cosy and private salon, open since 1998. The well trained hairdressers, cosmeticians and masseuses offer you usual and more exclusive, constantly improving trend services. The beauty centre uses a professional cosmetic line called Eccelente and work with well known hair care products such as Wella, Schwarzkopf and Sim.
