The Schloss Fuschl Hotel in Hof Bei Salzburg is a fairytale chateau, situated on a peninsular in Lake Fuschl and was built in 1450 as a hunting lodge and used as the summer residence of the archbishops of Salzburg. In the 1950s the chateau became world-famous, as its romantic situation on the banks of Lake Fuschl provided the ideal setting for the Sissi films with Romy Schneider.
