In the baroque heart of Dresden lies the jewel of a five star hotel, the Radisson SAS Gewandhaus Hotel in Dresden. Originally built as a warehouse in 1770, the historic Gewandhuas was reduced to rubble due to heavy bombing in 1945. Rebuilt in the 60s as a hotel, this remarkable building became a five star establishment in 1997. The hotel is beautifully designed and has a spacious glass-domed inner court.

The 94 guest rooms, 2 junior suites, and the Prince Philippe suite are elegantly furnished in Biedermeier style. Non-smoking rooms, special rooms for physically challenged guests as well as rooms for allergy sufferers are also available.

The chic restaurant Weber’s im Gewandhaus is situated right next to the atrium, a spacious and bright inner court covered with a glass roof. In the lobby lounge snacks and drinks are served in a relaxed atmosphere. The bar, Weber’s offers a wide variety of exotic cocktails and beer on tap.

Flexible meeting rooms are available and can host a small meeting for six or a large event for 160. Audio/visual and communications facilities are available and a catering service can be provided on request.

At the end of a busy day, guests can unwind in the hotel's heated swimming pool, relax in the sauna and solarium or enjoy a workout in the well-equipped fitness room.
