Set in a magnificent park overlooking the city and with spectacular views of the Alps, just a few minutes from the city centre offering a public bus stop in front of the hotel and from Bern central station it takes 5 minutes.
The Innere Enge Hotel in Bern is an historic property that has been a popular meeting place and excursion destination among the people of Berne since the early 18th century. Eminent visitors here included the Empress Josephine who was guest of honour on the occasion of a "Grand Dejeuner" in 1810.
Now, nearly two centuries later, the hotel has been completely renovated and is the ideal venue for discerning guests, whether visiting Berne on holiday or business.
Guests are assured of the most attentive service - whether meeting friends and acquaintances by the cosy fireplace in the entrance hall, or using the conference room with its modern technical aids.
It offers 26 spacious rooms, each individually designed to satisfy the highest standards of comfort and convenience. Seven rooms are dedicated to the great Jazz Musicians, Hazy Osterwald, Clark Terry, Lionel Hampton, Milt Hinton, Wild Bill Davison, John Lewis and Louie Bellson. These rooms are decorated with personal objects of these musicians.
The historic Park Pavilion is a superb setting for a delicious buffet breakfast. The Innere Enge restaurant is the right place for business meetings, small family parties or a romantic twosome. A very creative and fresh cuisine is served all day until late evening. Table reservation is recommended. From the gardens terrace enjoyed superb views of the Bernese Alps.
An outstanding feature of the Marians Jazz room is the Louis Armstrong Bar which is connected to the hotel but has its own separate entrance. This superb setting offers guests drinks, snacks, food - and fun, with the finest in traditional jazz performed live by top International stars. Every year, from March until May, the International Jazz festival of Berne takes place at Marians Jazz room
