The riverboat docks behind this dependable hotel, with its lovely location across from a wide, woodsy bank of the Aare and is just outside the centre of Interlaken. It is also just a short walk to the railway station. Guests can reach the hotel from the International airport in Bern by car or train and taking about an hour.
Managed by the same family for more than 100 years, the carefully maintained Du Lac Hotel in Interlaken has high-ceiling rooms, with touches of French classical and Queen Anne styles.
In the restaurant La Riviere the colours of water and forest form a beautiful frame to enjoy fish from the lakes, gourmet menus in a more Mediterranean style and exquisite vintage wines. In the restaurant Terrace, light dishes vary with the seasons offer. Here local and plain products are served but sometimes an even slightly exotic touch is added.
