There are countless activities offered by the Cardona. The hotel has two swimming pools, one for adults and another for children. There is a game room, reception area, souvenir shop, swimming pool, duck pond, vegetable garden and farm area with chickens, rabbits and goats.

For a relaxing evening, there is a TV room with fireplace and comfortable sofas. There is a restaurant with Catalan style cooking and an elegant rural bar with 2 outdoor patios.

Farm activities include donkey rides, sheep sheering, farm activities, wheat harvesting, collecting mushrooms, and kid’s farm classes. For adults there are workshops for medicinal plants, cooking classes, and guided nature walks.

In the property, there is a main building which houses the main facilities: a restaurant, coffee bar and multi-purpose rooms all with spectacular panoramic views. There are also rooms fully equipped for events such as conferences or weddings.

The other buildings house the 99 rooms which are furnished in bright, cheerful colours. The rooms include a fully equipped bathroom and other facilities at your disposal.

For day trips, Cardona is a great jumping off point, and the Vilar arranges all sorts of excursions. Take a tour on horseback in the area surrounding the Vilar. There are also carriage rides through the Castelltallat Mountain, Sant Mateu del Bages, about 20 minutes from the Vilar.

Enjoy a walk in the countryside to Lourdes's chapel, a total walk of about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Visit the lush Ora Valley, the old town in Suria, Cardona's medieval quarter, Montserrat monastery and the Cardona Castle, which is now a parador all a short drive from the Vilar.
