Eleonas Traditional Lodges are on the clifs of Psiloritis, north of Zaros village in Crete, at the entrance of the gorge of Agios Nikolaos leading to the plateau of Rouvas.
Eleonas Traditional Lodges is a set of 15 lodges build on a steep cliff facing south and east.
The main building, at the lower part, houses the reception the restaurant and the bar.
The lodges are built in steps on the hillside in small neighbourhoods.
Each neighbourhood has it's own parking space close to the lodge.
Eleonas Traditional Lodges is geared towards winter stays. Each house has a fireplace and the generous supply of wood during winter months is included in the price.
All houses are air conditioned and have a bedroom, a sitting area with the fireplace and a bathroom. Large verandas in every house offer panoramic views of the valey, the village of Zaros and further beyond towards the plain of Messara.
The gardens are the very wild nature of the area. Full of sage and oregano amidst all the other wild plants and flowers of Psiloritis.
The restaurant of Eleonas Traditional Lodges open almost all day, offers breakfast based in locally produced ingredients of the Cretan cuisine.
For lunch and dinner, the menu also provides mostly recipes of the local cuisine refined by the owners, something that attracts many guests from far visiting Elaionas to savour the delicious cuisine.
