Grand Convento di Amalfi is located in the premises of the monastery built in the XII century around the old existing consecrated Chapel of Arabic-Norman style.
Grand Convento di Amalfi one of "Locali storici d'Italia", opened in 1821 by Gregorio Vozzi, was inherited in 1937 by his grandson Giuseppe Aielli, count of Vallefiorita, and is still managed by the same family.

The terrace of the monastery is famous for the gorgeous view it offers and its panorama is undoubtedly one of the most portrayed.

Fifty rooms and two suite, plunged into the green and quiet of a large park, have been made out the ancient friars' cells faithfully restored to their original structure.
