In the 4th quarter of the 19th Century a wealthy merchant built the Halepa Hotel in the Neo Classical style. During the late 1800's and the early 1900's (the era of Cretan Democracy) it was used as the Embassy building of the British and it played a very important role in the Cretan history.

In the year 1990 a new 42 room wing was carefully constructed so that the magnificence of the old structure could be maintained unaltered and its last renovation was in 2005.

Halepa Hotel consists of a VIP suite and 5 superior rooms in the traditional building and 2 small suites with 41 guestrooms, in the new wing. All of them are decorated either in traditional and in modern style with modern services for your stay.
