The Colon Hotel in Barcelona belongs to Lamaro Real Estate Group, of Italian origin, founded by Don Antonio Lamaro in 1920, who was responsible for the construction of the Colon Hotel in 1951. Since 1951, it has been honored with such guests as Joan Miro, who felt himself like at his own house in Barcelona during the sixties and early seventies; famous writers as Ernest Hemingway, Tennessee Williams, Jean Paul Sartre, Sophia Loren and more.
