The hotel has a great location, right in the centre of the city on a bustling shopping street linking Plaza Catalunya and Plaza Universitat. There is two underground stations and a bus stop just a short walk from the hotel and the main railway station is a 10 minute walk away. The International airport is approximately 12km from the hotel.
There is something charming about Lleo Hotel in Barcelona, maybe its the beautiful facade, or the simple decor. Ideal for a weekends stay of sight-seeing and shopping
The 80 guest rooms are decorated in light, neutral colours. They all have air-conditioning and heating, piped music and a small satellite TV. There is also a minibar, a direct dial phone; safe and the bathrooms have hairdryers.
Behind the reception is a large comfy lounge area where there is a piano for live music in the evenings and a small business centre with a computer for internet. The decor of the hotel continues into the light and airy breakfast buffet room which is lit by two huge skylights and has a clean rustic feel. There is a snack bar and also a non-smoking dining hall.
Hotel Lleo has 3 function rooms which can be set out in 3 different ways. The rooms can hold from 20 to 160 people. Guests are also able to make use of the hotels offices and equipment, such as faxes, photocopiers and computers.
There is a cash point attached to the hotel on the left outside the door. If you are after a bit of culture then 10 minutes walk away on Psg de Gracia are Gaudi´s masterpieces, La Pedrera and Casa Batllo or wander down Las Ramblas to have a look at the street performers. The area known as the Raval is right behind the hotel and has some lovely cafes and restaurants.
