Palace Hotel, just of Wenceslas square the hotel is a part of the historic and financial centre as a result of its perfect location.
The Palace Hotel was built in 1906 in Viennese Art Nouveau style.
The design was the work the work of Frantisek Buldro, a Prague builder and the owner of the hotel, together with George Justich, the architect.
In 1924, after Mr. Emanuel Oppel bought the building, Hotel Palace Praha became a sought-after centre of social and cultural life and one of the few luxury 5-star hotels in Prague.
Hotel Palace Prahas first epoch of long duration ended on January 1st 1986 when it was closed.
After lengthy deliberations, the idea was formed that the hotel should be thoroughly but sensitively renovated.
Its original character was preserved using the so-called house within a house renovation scheme, i.e., keeping intact the outer wall and facade. It reopened in 1989 and since then has been offering top service and a home away from home to many prominent personalities from around the world.
