Melia Merida Hotel

Recently inaugurated, the hotel is located within two emblematic buildings in the historical centre of the city of Merida in the Spanish region of Extremadura, a city declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 1993.

The first building dates back to 1802 and the second an ancient Medieval-resting place built on the foundations of a Roman construction, a sober building combining a Renaissance facade with Gothic interiors and a patio with porticos built in the 14th century.

A work of art that has become a luxury hotel with 76 comfortable rooms and modern facilities which include a swimming pool, terrace, fitness centre and 9 meeting rooms for up to 200 guests.

Enjoy a magnificent view of the whole of the city and the Roman bridge over the River Guadiana from the rooftop terrace.

Savour fine cuisine in our a la carte restaurant "El Cenador del Marques", specializing in International dishes and the latest innovations in haute cuisine. For something a little less elaborate, the bar-cafeteria "La Fuente" is available, or rest a while in the "El Patio" cafe in the medieval cloisters in the hotel entrance or on the hotel terrace at the "Plaza Espana" Bar.
