In 1886, Mr. Monteleone bought a 64-room hotel on the corner of Royal and Iberville streets in New Orleans' world famous French Quarter. The setting was ripe for Antonio to spread his entrepreneurial wings when the nearby Commercial Hotel became available for purchase.

That was only the beginning of an amazing historical landmark that is one of the last great family owned and operated hotels in the city. Since 1886, four generations of Monteleones have dedicated themselves to making their hotel what it was and still is a sparkling jewel in the heart of the French Quarter.

There are 597 comfortable bedrooms and deluxe suites decorated in beautiful earth tones conveying a sense of warmth and relaxation. All have a large choice of amenities.

Enjoy dinner in the elegant Hunt Room, for a buffet breakfast in Le Cafe or for seafood in The Aft Deck, you'll enjoy a celebration of flavours of traditional New Orleans fare and Louisiana seafood. You can also enjoy a cocktail in the famous Carousel Piano Bar and Lounge.

Monteleone Hotel provides for meetings and events a total of over 20,000 square feet of meeting space in 18 ballrooms, meeting and reception rooms, the largest of which is 4,400 square feet. All are handsomely decorated in The Monteleone tradition. Each has a distinctive character and can accommodate 15 to 400 people.
