The hotel is located 200 metres from the sea, in the small village of Sougia, which is 75 kilometres from the city of Hania, to arrive there; you have to pass a number of winding roads, but well worth the effort.
The Hotel Aretouca is a small new hotel, consisting of 12 rooms, all of which have their own balcony, en suite bathroom, air-conditioning and fridge, room cleaning is provided daily.
The hotel is open only in the summer months from April till the end of October, the same as the village itself. In the winter months, most of the hotels and restaurants close down.
Sougia village offers a wide choice of restaurants offering well above average food, the long beach is never crowded and the sea was nominated as one of the cleanest in the whole of Greece in a national study made in 1999. Sougia is also quite well protected form the prevalent west winds.
