Located just five minutes away from the town of Aix en Provence nearby the commercial centre of Les Milles It is about 20 km away from the city of Marseille and the International airport.
Le Chateau de la Pioline is a historical monument during the XVI, XVII and XVIII centuries, set in a 4 hectare park, through which the River Arc runs.
At the beginning of the 17th century, after having belonged to the magistrate, Guillaume du Vair, Beauvoisin was bought by Renaud de Piolenc, squire of Aix-en-Provence. The property remained in this family during the next one hundred and fifty years; the family name is still linked to the castle today.
During this century the dwelling became a cool summer residence and was enlarged and much improved; in the 18th century, La Pioline was completely abandoned by the President, Honore de Piolenc, and was re-purchased by the Marquis de Meyronnet, a government Councillor.
It offers 33 well appointed bedrooms all decorated in a Provencal style and includes modern comfort, subtle combined with a taste of the past. Each room will delight you with its charm and nobility and open either onto the main courtyard or the park.
You can savour the mixture of gastronomic creations and traditional products of the south of France at the hotel's restaurant located in the Louis 16th salon. For the summer month you can enjoy the terrace around the pool or in the park.
Banqueting and meeting facilities are available on premises with different rooms at your disposal and also outdoor seating.
