City Overview

Located next to the Bundeshaus in Bern Centre, a few minutes from the central railway station, the University and near the main shopping area, the International airport is at 15 minutes drive from the property and with a direct connection by public transportation to Zurich.
In 1856 Friedrich Osswald decided to set up accommodation for the upper classes and the state guests of the Ancient Regime. In 1865 he built the Hotel Bellevue Palace with charming French gardens, from where the guest could enjoy the magnificent view of the famous Alp panorama. The old Bellevue experienced glorious times; kings and emperors stayed here.
This luxurious hotel is a member of "The Leading Hotels of the World" and offers 130 spacious bedrooms and suites tastefully decorated and including a wide range of amenities to satisfy various needs.
In the year 2002 the hotel closed down for one year and was completely renovated.
You can choose between the Bellevue Grill for superb French cuisine, the Terrace, an elegant open-air restaurant with panoramic views of the Alps or the Stadtrestaurant zur Munz, for light meals and local specialties.
You can also visit the bar and have drinks and snacks in this meeting point of the city in a classic decor.
Meeting and banqueting facilities are available with a large selection of spaces that can accommodate from 2 to 500 participants.
