De La Paix Hotel is located in the heart of Geneva, close to the main sights and business district, right by the Lake of Geneva and its fountain and a magnificent view over of Mont Blanc.
De La Paix Hotel in Geneva was built in 1865 by Geneva architect Jean-Marie Gignoux in the Italian Renaissance style; Hotel de la Paix has enjoyed a prestigious history. It was the first hotel in Switzerland - and most certainly in Europe - to bear this name.
The luxury establishment underwent its first renovation in the Art Nouveau style in the early 20th century when the city of Geneva was chosen as the headquarters of the League of Nations in 1919. Today, the hotel's breathtaking atrium with its black and white chequered floor, majestic columns and impressive staircase remind us of this prestigious past.
With redesigned spaces, and new materials, sensations and flavours, the completely-renovated establishment has reopened its doors as downtown Genevas premier boutique hotel. Geneva's legendary luxury hotel has successfully preserved its rich history and sense of tradition while proudly embarking upon its third century with style and elegance.
Now more than ever, it offers an exquisitely refined environment and tastefully-decorated interior spaces plus the latest technologies, fine cuisine and the ultimate in service.
The restaurant is the ideal place to enjoy light, creative cuisine with distinctly Mediterranean flair in a comfortable, relaxed setting. The dining room features a contemporary palette of grey, blue and orange, providing a subtle backdrop for exotic woods such as wenge and Macassar ebony. Based on the finest ingredients available, the cuisine at Vertig'O offers pure, authentic flavour, adding a subtle dimension to the restaurant's sophisticated interior architecture.
The Nobel Bar invites guests to reflect, while the warm, intimate interior decor is superb for relaxing. Armchairs and sofas provide comfortable seating, while the bars fireplace and coppery mahogany floor complete the ambiance. Guests enjoy an exclusive selection of old single malt casks, vintage port wines, premium champagnes, rare liqueurs and brandies, and a full cigar cellar - all the ingredients for a wonderful and relaxing escape.
For business travellers the hotel features three conference rooms equipped with the latest technologies and bathed in natural light. The conference rooms have a capacity of up to 165 guests.
