In 1865 after nine months of construction, the new hotel Victoria is opened; Eduard Ruchti transformed his private business into a joint stock company. Taking over the adjacent Hotel Jungfrau, also built by Davinet in 1865 and formed The Victoria Jungfrau Company Ltd. These two buildings are linked by a dome-shaped middle tract, which today houses the luxury Tower Suite.
