Alexander Seiler first opened the Monte Rosa Hotel with its Belle Epoque ambience in 1855 and since over one and a half centuries the most traditional hotel of Zermatt accommodates visitors from around the world. It consists of 47 beautifully decorated guestrooms that are equipped with comforts to the high standards of a four star hotel.

In the hotel's historical dining room, the head chef and his team will spoil you with seasonal gourmet dinners, buffets or with a candlelit dinner. In the evening the billiard room and the Montrose Bar with its Scottish character reflecting the aesthetic perception typical for the turn from the 19th to the 20th century are the ideal spots to share a drink with friends.

During your stay at the hotel you have free access to the spa & beauty area of the Mont Cervin distant only 150 meters from the hotel. It disposes of an enlarged swimming area with in- and outdoor pool and a separate children’s paddling pool, saunas and steam baths, whirlpools, solariums and a fitness room. In winter, this area is reserved exclusively for the clients of the Mont Cervin Palace and the sister hotels Monte Rosa and Nicoletta.
