Gloria Hotel is now closed for a total refurbishment. Plans indicate the hotel will open again in the last quarter of 2013 under the name Gloria Palace.
Gloria Hotel was inaugurated in 1922, by President Epitacio Pessoa, entering into history as part of the celebration of the centenary of independence.

The convention centre is a large complex with 23 rooms and modular halls which can hold events of 10 up to 2000 people. It has an independent entrance to guarantee total privacy and includes technical support as well as supporting rooms and a secretary office is available.
