This hotel in Vienna is located in the proximity of Franz Josefs Station and a few minutes walk from the Danube Canal, which is north east of central Vienna. The hotel is about 16 minutes walking distance from The Opera House, Museum of Fine Arts, Natural History Museum, and the Old Town.
The Mozart Hotel was built at the turn of the century, during the period of Emperor Franz Joseph. Originally planned as a dwelling house, it became soon a hotel named Egerlaender. After World War II soldiers of the U.S. allied troops were quartered in the building. At that time the hotel was named Franz Joseph Bahn. Not until intense renovations during the 50's, was the hotel named after one of the greatest composers. The Mozart Hotel has spacious, nicely presented rooms and simple standard amenities. The hotel offers comfortable and spacious rooms all with bath/shower/WC, telephone, radio and satellite TV.
