The small fishing village of Loutro lies between Agia Roumeli and Chora Sfakion served by boats joining the two settlements.
Loutro has a pebbly beach and some hotels right in front of it. The few taverns on the waterfront serve tasty local food and the speciality of the area roast lamb on the spit.
One can take a moderate walk along a coastal path to Chora Sfakion. On the way you will pass the celebrated sweet water beach named after freshwater springs, which seep from the rocks. It will be hard to resist a swim in the translucent sea.
Simple but fine place for some days of total relax away from it all. (AlmostÂ…)
